Pandit Hindraj graduated in commerce from Pune University in 1976. At a very young age he was awarded the title “Surmani” by Sur Singar Samsad in 1980 for the Sitar and Rudra Veena and Subsequently he received the music degree of “ Sangeet visharad” from bhaskar sangeet Vidyalaya Bharat Gayan Samaj Pune in 1985. he recieved the title 'Sangeet Shree' at Allahabad (U.P) music Fetival in Aug 1988 by 'Sangeetanjali' academy and 'Pandit' in November 1988. He has been awarded the title 'Hindgandharva Shree' by Hindgandharva Academy pune and 'Been Bhaskar' and also received the title “ Dhrupad Shree” at the Indore (M.P) in Dhrupad festival by Dhrupad Kala Kendra Pandit Pawar Bandhu in 1991, and Respectable honour in late Chunnilal Pawar, 200 year’s memoriai, 10th International Dhrupad samaroha at Indore (M.P) in April 1994, by Dhrupad Kala Kendra Indore (M.P). Pandit Hindraj Divekar has been honour in 8th Behram Khan Dagar Dhrupad samaroha at Jaipur (Raj) in Feb. 1990, arranged by Dhrupad Society Shruti Mandle Jaipur by ustad Saiduddin Dagar family New Delhi.





He has been honoured in Dhrupad Samaroha in Oct 1997 at Bhopal( M..P) arranged by Ustad Allauddin Khan Sangeet Akademy, Sanskriti Bhavan, Madhya pradesh government Bhopal. (M.P). He has been honour in Swarsadhanotsav, 32 Annual Sangeet Summelan at Mumbai in March 1997 (M.S) arranged by Swar Sadhana Samittee Dr. Aban mistry. He has awarded by 'Pune Gaurav'on 15th Aug 1994 by Pune Municiple Corporation at Pune (M.S)

Pandit Hindraj received Sitar training from his father and from Pandit Bhaskar Chandawarkar in 1973. Subsequently he has received guidance in sitar also from late Pandit Mangal Prasad (ujjain- wale ) in 1972, and from Ustad Abdul Halimjafar Khan in 1976.

Pandit Hindraj received Rudra Veena Khayal Style and Dhrupad Style training from his father late Pandit Hindgandharva Shivarambuwa Divekar, Also from Ustad late Zia. Mohimuddin Dagar in 1980 for Dhrupad style in Rudra Veena. He has also received guidance from Pandit Bindumadhav Pathak, Hubli, Karnataka state for Khayal Style in Rudra Veena. He has als received training in Rudra Veena for Khayal style and Dhrupad Style from Pandit Pandharinathji Kolhapure, ( Vocalist and Rudra Veena Player) Mumbai. The deep impress of style can be easily experienced in Sitar and Rudra Veena receitals.
